My Tony Robbins ‘Training Day’ and Fiasco…

Back in 2007 I got a call one day out of the blue from someone working for Tony Robbins (The Anthony Robbins Companies)…

The man said he’d heard through the grapevine that I was a great coach, and told me he wanted to speak with me about possibly becoming a speaker for Tony Robbins…

As a speaker I would go into different fortune 500 companies, and also speak at business events to enroll people into his incredible seminars…

Being that Tony Robbins was the first person to really open up this incredible new world of personal development, and show it to me years ago…

…And being that I loved Tony’s teachings…

…This seemed like it would be a great experience for me to get to speak in front of a large audience multiple times a week, about something that I authentically believed in…

So after going through a couple rounds of interviews, I was invited to Tony’s headquarters in San Diego to get trained by Tony himself for a full day, along with the other people who made it to this final round…

The training was intense and a lot of fun at the same time… And at the end of the day we all had to do a sample of the 1 hour presentation that we would be doing live in front of fortune 500 companies if we we’re chosen…

And guess what?…

…I NAILED IT!

Out of over 130 coaches and prospects that initially interviewed… I was told that my presentation was “Tops” in the group…

But here is the really embarassing part…

A few weeks later when it came time for me to do my real first presentation in front of a live audience, I was in front of the crowd and I FORGOT MY LINES!!!

I was bouncing around from sections of the presentation that were supposed to be at the end, back to the beginning sections, over to the middle…

…Basically my presenation was all over the place!

…But here is the really cool part which leads us to such an incredibly valuable lesson…

That day I was so pumped up, so energized, so alive, and I believed in what I was enrolling people into so much…

…That my authentic energy was *BEAMING* out and projecting on to the audience…

…And because of this, I actually enrolled more people into Tony’s seminar that day, then I did in any other presentation that I did over the next few months… (And I never messed up the presentation again by the way 🙂

You see… It didn’t matter that I obliterated this perfectly planned out presentation…

It mattered more that I was in the right state of mind (FYI: I visualized strongly in the car before I went in), I was energized, and I was being 100% Authentic which was Shining out on the audience…

That was the most important part…

I hope this story inspires you… to make the leap and go for whatever it is you authentically believe in, or whatever it is you are passionate about doing…

Remember… You don’t need to have a perfectly planned out presentation…

…You just need to truly believe in what you are doing, be authentic about it, feel alive, and step into your power…

Go for it, I believe in you…

Wishing you love, happiness, health, and prosperity…
